Depending on your situation, Spiko may ask you for proof of address. The documents you provide must:
- be dated less than 3 months ago;
- clearly show your name and address;
- not be handwritten.
Documents accepted in all countries
- Bank statements
- Utility bills (electricity, water, gas)
- Telecommunications bills (including mobile)
- Tax documents, such as a tax assessment notice or a non-taxation certificate
- Housing documents, such as a home insurance policy or invoice, or a rent receipt

🇫🇷 France
- Electricity bill (EDF, Engie, TotalEnergies, Ekwateur)
- Water bill (Veolia, Suez, Eau de Paris, Saur)
- Internet or landline bill (Orange, SFR, Bouygues Telecom, Free)
- Tax assessment notice (avis d'imposition)
- Service charge demand for a co-owned building (appel de charges de copropriété), from Foncia, Nexity or Citya for example
- Housing tax certificate (attestation fiscale de taxe d'habitation)
- Housing assistance certificate (attestation CAF)
🇬🇧 United Kingdom
- Electricity or gas bill (British Gas, Octopus Energy, EDF Energy, E.ON Next, OVO)
- Water bill (Thames Water, Severn Trent, United Utilities)
- Internet or landline bill (BT, Virgin Media, Sky)
- Council tax bill, issued by your local council
🇪🇸 Spain
- Electricity bill (Iberdrola, Endesa, Naturgy, Repsol)
- Water bill (Canal de Isabel II, Aigües de Barcelona, Emasesa)
- Internet or landline bill (Movistar, Vodafone, Orange, Digi)
- Property tax receipt (Recibo del IBI). The receipt for the current year or the latest year issued is accepted.
🇳🇱 Netherlands
- Energy bill (Vattenfall, Eneco, Essent, Greenchoice)
- Municipal tax assessment (Aanslag gemeentelijke belastingen), issued by your municipality (gemeente) or its tax office
🇮🇹 Italy
- Electricity bill (Enel, Edison, A2A, Acea)
- Gas bill (Eni Plenitude, Enel, Edison, Hera)
- Water bill (Acea, Hera, MM Milano, SMAT Torino)
- Waste tax notice (Avviso TARI), issued by your municipality (comune)
🇩🇪 Germany
- Electricity bill (E.ON, Vattenfall, EnBW, local Stadtwerke)
- Gas bill (E.ON, EnBW, local Stadtwerke)
- Property tax assessment (Grundsteuerbescheid), issued by your city or municipality
The address on the back of the German identity card (Personalausweis) does not count as proof of address.
If you live with a host (all countries)
If the proof of address is in the name of the person hosting you, provide these three documents together:
- a host's statement dated less than 3 months ago and signed by the host, showing the host's name, the address and your name;
- the host's valid ID;
- a proof of address in the host's name, less than 3 months old.
