Spiko offers two options for exchanging currencies.
⚠️ Currency risk: exchanging currencies exposes you to exchange rate fluctuations. Currency markets are volatile and you may incur losses. Make sure you understand this risk before making any decision.
Option 1: Deposits or withdrawals in euros on Spiko US T-Bills Dollar or Spiko UK T-Bills Pound
Spiko allows you to deposit and withdraw in euros on Spiko US T-Bills Dollar or Spiko UK T-Bills Pound:
- Deposits: your euros are converted into US dollars (or British pounds) and invested in US (or UK) Treasury Bills
- Withdrawals: the fund sells Treasury Bills for dollars (or pounds), which are then converted back into euros
There are no restrictions on the currency used for deposits or withdrawals. You can deposit in euros and withdraw in dollars, or vice versa.
Option 2: Transfer between Spiko products
You can transfer your holdings in euros to Spiko US T-Bills Dollar / Spiko UK T-Bills Pound, and vice versa. This is equivalent to a withdrawal from one product followed by an allocation to the other. It takes approximately two business days.
Exchange rate and fees
Spiko uses the Bloomberg BFIX rate at 11:30 AM Paris time on the day of processing. No fees are charged on currency conversions.
For individuals who are tax residents in France, a transfer between products constitutes a taxable event.
